Graduation Mass:  Today at the 12:30 Mass we honor and congratulate the graduates of the class of 2008.  There will be a reception afterwards in the Social Hall for all graduates, families and friends. Congratulations to the following young adults:

PRAYER FOR THE MILITARY: Archbishop for the Military Services Timothy Broglio is asking for prayerful support for members of the U.S. Armed Forces. He has written the following prayer.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS: Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. And give us peace. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.

CURSILLO MEETINGS: The monthly Heart of Texas Cursillo’s Ultreya will meet on Sunday, June 1st, 3:00 PM at the 58th Street Chapel, Fort Hood.

The next men’s Cursillo is being held June 5th through the 8th. For additional information, please call John Frost at 549-0597.

All priest of the Diocese will be meeting with the Bishop from Monday through Wednesday.

THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Flag Day and Awards Dinner at the Knights of Columbus Hall on FM 2657 on Sunday, June 15th. The dinner of roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and rolls will begin at 5:30 PM and the program will follow the dinner. Tickets are $10. Widows of Knights are the guests of the council and may pick up a free ticket. Tickets are available in the parish office and at the KofC Hall. Only 100 tickets are available.

MEETINGS AND EVENTS IN OUR PARISH

RESPECT FOR LIFE ROSARY will be prayed next Sunday at 7:30 AM, led by Mary Gaines.

ATTENTION ALTAR SERVERS and those of you interested in becoming altar servers: PLEASE attend one of the training sessions coming up this Wednesday, June 4th at 6:30 PM, or on Saturday, June 7th at 10 AM right here in the church. 

YOUNG AT HEART GROUP: June 14th - Saturday, Vanishing River Cruise. We will meet in the church parking lot at 9 AM and car pool to Burnett. After the two hour cruise, there is much more to see and do such as the Eagle Eye Observatory with 22 inch telescopes, fishing, and hiking trails. There will be a picnic on the grounds at 2 PM. There is a snack bar and many picnic facilities in the park. Be sure to pack your picnic basket. There is also a Lodge with 4 star dining, prices range from $12.00 to $25.00. The cost of the cruise is $16.25. Reservations and payment can be dropped off at the church office, deadline is June 8th.

PALO DURO CANYON TRIP! August 8th – 9th Friday and Saturday, everyone (this is not just for seniors) is invited to join us for an overnight trip to Palo Duro Canyons to see the play Texas. Total cost of the trip per person is $175.00; this includes the bus, hotel room (2 persons per room) steak dinner at the Canyon and the play. Lunch on Friday and meals on Saturday are not included. Reservations and payment in full, deadline is June 30th. These can be made at the church office. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION: Registration for Religious Education and Formation Classes, Kindergarten through Twelfth grades will be held in August in the A-building. You may also go online at www.hf-cc.org to obtain a registration form and mail it with payment or bring it to the parish office. If you are new to our parish community, please make sure you register with the parish to enroll in our program. A baptismal certificate is required for students preparing for First Communion or Confirmation.

To make our Religious Education Classes a success many Catechists, both teachers and assistants, are needed. Please call Natalie Czajka at 547-0090 if you are interested in training as a catechist in this very important ministry.
