REFLECTION ~ The Gospel lesson is on humility. An act of service is one way to express humility. Think of the gifts God has given you, how can you apply those gifts to humble service in your parish? Need ideas? Try the Corporal Works of Mercy.

ADORATION WILL BE SUSPENDED LABOR DAY WEEKEND ~ Thursday, September 2nd after Mass until Tuesday, September 7th at 8:30 AM. 

                                                                    MEETINGS AND EVENTS IN OUR PARISH

HOLY FAMILY LADIES SOCIETY will meet on the first Friday of each month after the 8 AM Mass. Our first meeting will be on the September 3rd.

RCIA (RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS) begins Wed, Sep 1st from 7 PM – 8:30 PM in Andre Hall.

                                                                   RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION
Fees: $30 one student, $45 for two, $60 for 3 or more children. Please bring your child's birth and baptism certificates when registering. High school students enrolling in Confirmation class, there is an additional $20 fee per student to cover the retreat expenses. Volunteer catechists are still needed. Please sign up in the parish office. Volunteers will need to attend an EIM workshop and complete a background check with the Diocese of Austin.

                                                            Wed, Sep 8th at 6:00 PM and Sun, Sep 12th at 9:00 AM
                                                           NO REGISTRATION ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS.

PARISH COUNCIL~ Holy Family Parish Council is looking for parishioners who would like to serve on the pastoral council. We need your ideas, thoughts and prayers to help us guide the focus of our faith community and its efforts in the years to come. All that is needed is your desire to share your gifts and to listen to the ideas and needs of your fellow parishioners. We are looking for energetic parishioners that are outgoing, have input during our monthly meetings and willing to make a commitment for the next three years. CALLING ALL SINGERS ~ Rehearsals for our Christmas Cantata and other Christmas liturgies are beginning now. Everyone is welcome. Don't read music? No worries. We'll teach you what you need to know. THE GABRIEL PROJECT ~ We will be hosting an angel training on Sat, Oct 16th from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Gabriel Project helps women in crisis pregnancy. If you are interested in this ministry please consider attending. Must have 10 people register in order to have the class at Holy Family. ETHICS AND INTEGRITY IN MINISTRY WORKSHOP (EIM) A 3-hour Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Basic Workshop on child sexual abuse (formerly titled ‘Protecting God’s Children), will be held on the following dates:

Please register ahead of time so that adequate material may be available. Please contact the parish office where you plan to attend class to register. This workshop is part of the diocesan Ethics and Integrity in Ministry policies that were adopted in January 2002 and revised in August 2008. All clergy and paid staff, and all volunteers working with youth and vulnerable adults, at any parish or diocesan location, are required to complete a one-time Application for Ministry prior to beginning their work/service and attend an EIM workshop within 60 days of submitting the application. Materials used in the workshop include testimonies from victims and perpetrators of sexual abuse; if you have any concerns regarding your attendance at a workshop please contact Emily Hurlimann at (512) 949-2447 to arrange an alternative arrangement to receive your training. Such inquiries shall remain confidential.

                                                                        UPCOMING EIM REFRESHER WORKSHOP
This 1½ hr Refresher Workshop is offered for those who last attended a previous EIM workshop more than 3 years ago. To verify that you qualify to attend a ‘refresher’, contact the parish office.

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT!  Have you attended a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend?  If so, come join us on Sep 12th at St John Neumann for our first “Mega-Circle” event to enrich your own marriage as well as to develop/strengthen your relationships with other couples who prioritize their marriages and families.
